
Rangpur(District)
Rangpur Sadar Upazila is an important administrative and commercial center in the Rangpur district of the Rangpur division in Bangladesh.
Located in the Teesta River basin, this region is well-known for its ancient heritage and rich culture.
Geographically, it is known as the gateway to North Bengal.
Historically, the Rangpur region was also known as 'Rangpur', which was essentially a symbol of its administrative importance and prosperity.
The climate here is temperate, and the terrain is flat and fertile, making it highly suitable for agriculture.
Among the main crops here, rice, potatoes, and tobacco are notable.
