
Saghata(Upazila)
Saghata Upazila, located in the Gaibandha district, is a settlement developed in the basin of the Jamuna and Bangali rivers.
Geographically, it is bordered by Fulchhari Upazila to the north, Sonatala Upazila of Bogura district to the south, Dewanganj and Islampur Upazilas of Jamalpur district to the east, and Gaibandha Sadar and Palashbari Upazilas to the west.
Although this riverine region is primarily agricultural, the importance of Saghata and Bonarpara markets is immense in terms of its communication and trade.
Among the notable establishments of the Upazila is the traditional Bonarpara Railway Junction, which is known as the lifeline of the area's transportation and economy.
Additionally, various markets located along the banks of the Bangali River and local tourist spots create a unique atmosphere of rural life here.
