Char Shoulmari M L High School

Char Shaulmari Multipurpose High School is a traditional educational institution in Roumari Upazila of Kurigram district. The school was established in 1958 with the dedicated efforts of local educationists and social workers. Located in the heart of Char Shaulmari Union of Roumari Upazila, this school is spread over about 4 acres of land. The school premises have a well-decorated playground, a large auditorium and a pleasant environment surrounded by greenery, which helps the students in their creative development along with textbooks. Currently, the school is conducting teaching activities in a modern and digital manner. Students are provided with hands-on education through multimedia classrooms, a rich science laboratory and a computer lab. Under the supervision of an experienced teaching staff, students have been achieving enviable results in the JSC and SSC examinations every year. Scouting, debate competitions and annual sports festivals are regularly organized here as part of co-curricular activities. The distance of this school from Kurigram district headquarters is about 60 kilometers. Road is the main means of transportation; the school can be easily reached from Roumari Upazila Sadar by auto-rickshaw or CNG. Due to its geographical location, it acts as a bridge between students from the Char region and the mainland. Many of the former students of this school are currently serving the country as high-ranking government officials, doctors and engineers in the country and abroad.
