Dairy Farm High School

Located in the heart of Savar, ‘Dairy Farm High School’ is a traditional educational institution.

This school was established in 1952 with the aim of creating educational opportunities for the children of the dairy farm workers of the then Pakistan government. Located in Savar Upazila of Dhaka district, this school is spread over its own vast area in a pleasant environment. Since its establishment, it has been playing an important role in the expansion of local education. Currently, the institution is being run in a combination of government and private management and has maintained its position as a reliable name in the education map of Savar. In terms of academic activities, the school emphasizes modern and creative methods along with traditional methods. Teaching is provided here in all three departments at the secondary level - science, humanities and business education. Under the supervision of experienced teachers, along with regular teaching, emphasis is placed on the use of multimedia classrooms and hands-on learning. In addition, various co-curricular activities including debate competitions, annual sports and cultural programs are regularly held to develop the talent of the students, which helps the students to expand their knowledge beyond the textbooks. In its long history, this school has produced many talented students who have achieved fame across the country and in the international arena. One of the most memorable personalities associated with this institution is the eminent educationist and social worker Dr. Kazi M. A. Majid, who provided important advice and guidance for the development of the school at various times. Currently, the school is working tirelessly to spread information technology-based education with the aim of implementing the vision of Digital Bangladesh, which has made the institution more attractive to the students and parents of Savar.
