About the Institute
Dinajpur Zilla School is one of the oldest and most traditional educational institutions in North Bengal. Established in 1854, this school played an important role in the spread of education during the British rule. Located in the heart of the city, this well-organized campus of about 9 acres has a large playground, ancient architectural buildings and modern academic buildings. Known as a custodian of education and culture for a long time, this institution recently celebrated its 169th anniversary, which bears testimony to its glorious history.
Dinajpur Zilla School has always been a symbol of excellence in academic activities. Currently, classes from third to tenth grade are taught here. In addition to textbooks, the school regularly conducts science fairs, debate competitions, scouting and sports to develop creative talent. The teaching process of students has been made more effective and up-to-date by using multimedia classrooms and rich laboratories as per the needs of the modern era.
Numerous distinguished individuals who have studied from this school have made the country shine in the national and international arena. One of them is the renowned educationist and writer Dr. Muhammad Qudrat-e-Khuda, who was a student of this school.
