Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU)

Haji Mohammad Danesh University of Science and Technology (Habipur University of Science and Technology) was established in 1999 and started its academic activities in 2002. Located in the Sadar Upazila of Dinajpur, this university is spread over about 135 acres of land. Its beautiful campus is surrounded by greenery, where there is a central Shaheed Minar, a beautiful administrative building, a large playground and various faculty buildings. The lake and trees inside the campus have given it a unique natural look. Currently, the semester system is used here, where hands-on learning is emphasized through modern laboratories and research laboratories. The university is providing quality education at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels under 9 faculties including Agriculture, Veterinary, Engineering, Business Education and Science. Habibpur University is known as one of the leading institutions in the country in terms of research. The distance of this university from Dinajpur city is only 10 kilometers. The campus can be easily reached by rickshaw, auto-rickshaw or bus from the city. Besides, there is adequate transportation facility to reach the campus from Dinajpur Railway Station and Bus Terminal. One of the prominent people associated with this university is its founder and first Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Mozammel Haque. Besides, many renowned teachers and researchers who have contributed to the agricultural and scientific research of the country have been associated with this institution and have spread its fame across the country.
