Jamalpur Science & Technology University (JSTU)

Jamalpur Science and Technology University (JSTU) is a new and promising higher education institution located in Jamalpur district of Bangladesh. In view of the long-standing demand, the bill to establish this university was passed in the National Parliament in 2017. The construction of a permanent campus of this university is underway on about 70 acres of land in the Digpait area of Jamalpur Sadar Upazila. Currently, its administrative and academic activities are being conducted in the temporary campus. This institution has instilled new hope among the students of this region in the spread of modern and up-to-date education. Currently, the university is teaching various science and technology-based subjects at the undergraduate level. Teaching activities are conducted here in the semester system, where efforts are being made to make students skilled by combining modern laboratories and multimedia classrooms. Although the institution is new, its curriculum has been arranged in line with international standards. Students are encouraged to acquire practical skills as well as theoretical knowledge through regular seminars, workshops and research activities. The distance between the university and Jamalpur city is about 10-12 kilometers. Being located in Digpait area, it is easily accessible from Jamalpur city by bus, CNG or auto rickshaw. The transportation system is quite developed, so students can easily reach the campus. Although it is a new institution, its natural environment and modern infrastructure construction plan have made it possible to transform it into one of the best technological universities in the country in the future. Various positive news is being published regularly about the development of this university at the local and national levels.
