Located in the heart of Panchagarh, ‘Maqbular Rahman Government College’ is not just an educational institution, it is a proud address for the fulfillment of thousands of dreams and memories of my growing up. Established in 1966, this college is an unforgettable name in spreading the light of education in North Bengal. Located in the beautiful environment of Panchagarh Sadar Upazila, every dust particle of this campus is mixed with the stories of talent and hard work of many generations. As soon as I enter this courtyard surrounded by green and lush shade, I feel a strange peace, which has taught us how to overcome adversity and move forward. In this long journey, the college has gifted numerous talented people, who are contributing to various important fields of the country today. In particular, it is a matter of great pride for us to associate the name of this institution with personalities like eminent writer and educationist Dr. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal. Besides, the success of our college students in various national-level debate competitions, sports events and cultural activities has always kept our heads high. Behind every achievement is a unique combination of the teachers' genuine affection and the hard work of the students. Currently, the college is conducting education from higher secondary to undergraduate and postgraduate levels with great reputation. The academic environment here is now much more dynamic with modern technology-based classrooms, a rich library and the guidance of experienced teachers. Regular seminars, workshops and co-curricular activities are organized here to develop the leadership qualities and creativity of the students beyond the boundaries of textbooks.
