About the Institute
National University is a unique higher education institution in Bangladesh established in 1992, with its main campus located in Boardbazar, Gazipur district. Spread over an area of about 11.39 acres, this campus is known for its aesthetic architecture and orderly environment. Inside the campus, the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, a spacious library building, administrative buildings and a beautiful green courtyard attract the attention of visitors. It mainly serves as a central center for conducting academic activities of affiliated colleges.
Currently, this university is conducting educational activities at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels through more than 2,200 affiliated colleges spread across the country. Teaching is mainly done in the 'affiliated' or affiliated system, where the syllabus is formulated centrally, examinations are conducted and results are published. With the use of digital technology, the online admission process and results publication are being completed very quickly and transparently, which has paved the way for higher education for millions of students.
The distance from the Kurigram district town to this main campus in Gazipur is about 320 kilometers. For transportation, you can reach Dhaka or Gazipur by direct bus service or train from Kurigram. It is possible to easily reach this campus adjacent to Board Bazar by using various local buses or trains from Dhaka to Gazipur. One can enjoy the natural beauty of North Bengal on this long journey.
