About the Institute
Noakhali University of Science and Technology (NUST) is one of the public universities in Bangladesh, established in 2001 and started its academic activities in 2006. Spread over an area of about 101 acres in the Sonapur area of Noakhali district, this campus is known for its beautiful natural environment. Within the campus, there is a large playground, a magnificent Central Shaheed Minar, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall and the heroic freedom fighter Abdul Malek Ukil Hall, and modern architectural academic buildings. The peaceful environment and green plants here create an ideal environment for students to study.
Currently, the university is teaching in a modern and up-to-date manner. There are numerous departments under the faculties of science, engineering, business administration, social sciences and humanities, where hands-on education is provided through the use of multimedia classrooms and laboratories. The university, with special emphasis on research, is constantly introducing students to new innovations and technologies. In addition, regular activities are conducted to develop the skills of students through various seminars and workshops.
The distance from the university to Noakhali district town is only a few kilometers, which is very close to Sonapur Zero Point. For transportation, the campus can be easily reached from the district town by auto rickshaw, CNG or local bus.
