Rabindra University

Rabindra University is a government university located in Shahjadpur, Sirajganj district, Bangladesh. There was a long-standing demand to establish a university in the name of the world poet Rabindranath Tagore in this town, which is associated with the memory of the poet. Finally, in 2017, the journey of this university began with the passage of a law in the National Parliament. In the light of the historical atmosphere of Kacharibari in Shahjadpur and Rabindra's philosophy, this institution is developing as a unique center of knowledge. Currently, the university is teaching in various departments at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in a modern and creative manner. Regular educational programs are conducted here under the faculties of Rabindra Studies, Cultural Heritage, Economics, Sociology and Business Education. In addition to theoretical education, special emphasis is given to practical and research-based education in the university curriculum, which helps students develop their creative talents. The distance of this university located in Shahjadpur from the main city of Sirajganj is about 40 kilometers. It can be reached very easily by bus or own transport by road. In addition, students get special facilities in transportation due to the developed communication system between Sirajganj and Shahjadpur. The current Vice-Chancellor and faculty of the university are working tirelessly to make the institution world-class, embodying the ideals of Rabindra.
