Rajibpur Girls High School

Rajibpur Girls' High School is a traditional educational institution in Char Rajibpur Upazila of Kurigram district. The school was established in 1984 with the dedicated efforts of local educationists and social workers to promote women's education. Located in the Brahmaputra River basin, this school is spread over about 2.5 acres of land. The school premises have a well-groomed garden, a spacious playground and a beautiful Shaheed Minar, which help the students in their aesthetic development along with textbooks. Currently, the school is conducting teaching activities in a modern and creative manner. Multimedia classrooms, science laboratories and a rich library play an important role in the intellectual development of the students. Under the supervision of experienced teachers, students here have been achieving enviable results in the JSC and SSC examinations every year. Along with the curriculum, the leadership qualities of the students are developed through scouting, debate competitions and annual sports competitions. Located about 70 kilometers from the Kurigram district headquarters, this school is mainly accessible by road. From Kurigram, one can reach Rajibpur via Roumari by bus or CNG. Despite being a remote char area, the school is working as a beacon of women's education in the region. Although the name of any nationally renowned personality has not yet emerged from this institution, numerous students who have passed from here are currently holding important positions in various government and private institutions of the country.
