Rangpur Govt. City College

Rangpur Government City College is not just an educational institution of bricks and stones for me, but an inseparable part of my childhood and youth. Established in 1958, this college is working as a beacon of light in the expansion of education in Rangpur. As soon as I step foot on this campus located in the heart of the city, I feel a strange peace. The peaceful environment surrounded by trees and every corner of those old buildings are filled with stories of dreams and struggles of thousands of students. The orderly environment here and the sincere proximity of the teachers have taught us not only textbooks, but also big lessons of life. Since its establishment, this college has been making an outstanding contribution to the education of the northern region. Be it sports, debate competitions or cultural activities - the performance of the students of City College is something to be proud of in every field. I remember those days when the entire campus would be filled with the joy of our institution's victory in inter-college competitions. The alumni list of this college includes many talented individuals who are today leaving their mark in various important fields of the country and abroad. In particular, the ideals of personalities like former Member of Parliament and Language Soldier Mashiur Rahman Jadu Mia inspire us even today. Currently, this college is moving forward by combining its tradition with technology. The quality of education here is constantly improving under the supervision of modern classrooms, rich libraries and skilled teachers. Along with academic studies, students are encouraged to engage in creative practices, which helps them develop as complete human beings. Even in today's modern era, City College is preparing students to face the challenges of the future by maintaining its old nobility and quality of education. I can proudly say that I am blessed to be an alumni of this institution.
