Rangpur Textile Engineering College

Rangpur Textile Engineering College, Pirganj, Rangpur is one of the main centers for producing skilled manpower for the textile industry in Bangladesh. Established in 2007, this institution is located in Chatra, Pirganj Upazila of Rangpur. Spread over an area of about 10 acres, this campus is known for its beautiful natural environment and well-organized infrastructure. The large playground, modern library and well-equipped laboratories inside the campus help students in their creative development as well as their studies. Currently, the institution is affiliated to Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX) and is offering B.Sc. in Textile Engineering courses. Here, theoretical and practical education based on modern technology is provided in four main departments - Yarn, Fabric, Wet Processing and Apparel Manufacturing. Under the supervision of skilled teachers, students are being prepared to face the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution through industrial attachment and hands-on training. The institution is located on the Rangpur-Dhaka highway, so the transportation system is very well developed. Its distance from the main city of Rangpur is about 45 kilometers, which can be easily covered by bus or own transport. Its proximity to the Pirganj Upazila headquarters has made the daily commute of the students easier. Although this institution is relatively new, the students who have passed from here are playing an important role in the country's leading textile mills and garment industries. Many of the alumni of this college are currently working as high-ranking officials in the country's renowned textile groups. Although the name of any famous political or cultural figure of the national level is not directly associated with this institution, the real glory of this institution is the contribution that the talented students here are making to the country's economy with their work skills. It is expected that this college will reach a unique height in textile engineering education in the future, in line with modern technology.
