Raiganj Degree College, located in Nageshwari Upazila of Kurigram district, is one of the beacons of higher education in the region. The college was established in 1994 with the dedicated efforts of local educationists and social workers. Spread over about 3 acres of land in the beautiful and peaceful environment of Raiganj Union of Nageshwari Upazila, this institution is known for its aesthetic architecture and green campus. The college is surrounded by trees and open fields, which ensure an ideal and serene environment for the students to study. Currently, the college offers undergraduate (pass) and higher secondary level education under the National University. The distance of the college from Kurigram district town is about 25-30 kilometers. It can be easily reached from the district headquarters via Nageshwari by bus or CNG. Due to the improved communication system, hundreds of students from far and wide come here every day to study. Although there is no record of any famous person of national level being directly involved in this institution, many talented students at the local level have studied here and are holding important positions in various government and private sectors of the country, which bears the signature of the success of this college.
