Saifur Rahman Government College

Saifur Rahman Government College is a traditional educational institution located in Phulbari Upazila of Kurigram district. The college was established in 1994 with the dedicated efforts of local educationists and locals and later received government recognition. Located in the heart of Phulbari Upazila Sadar, this college is spread over about 5 acres of land. Its beautiful campus and orderly environment are very suitable for the studies of the students. The architecture of the college, including the main gate and administrative building, attracts the attention of the visitors. Currently, the college is teaching at the higher secondary and graduation (pass) levels. In order to promote modern and up-to-date education, regular classes, tutorial examinations and teaching activities are conducted here under the supervision of experienced teachers. Various co-curricular activities including debate competitions, annual sports and cultural programs are regularly organized here to develop the talent of the students. The distance of this college from Kurigram district town is about 20 kilometers. From the district town, one can easily reach the Phulbari Upazila headquarters by bus, auto-rickshaw or CNG, from where it is possible to travel to the college in a short distance. Due to the improved communication system, students from far and wide also come here to study comfortably. Many students who have received education from this college are currently serving the country and the nation by being employed in various important government and private positions in the country.
