About the Institute
Stamford University Bangladesh started its journey in Dhanmondi, Dhaka in 2002. Currently, its main campuses are located in Dhanmondi and Siddheshwari areas. Built in a modern architectural style, this university is known for its orderly environment and aesthetic infrastructure. Being located in the heart of the city, it is very convenient for students to travel.
Currently, the university teaches in the semester system, where hands-on learning is emphasized through multimedia classrooms, rich libraries and state-of-the-art laboratories. Various undergraduate and postgraduate programs are being run here under the faculties of science, engineering, business administration, law and humanities. A research-oriented learning environment is maintained here under the supervision of experienced teachers.
The distance from the main city of Kurigram to Stamford University is about 350 kilometers. The main means of travel from Kurigram to Dhaka is by road or air. It usually takes 8 to 10 hours to travel by bus by road, and Dhaka can also be reached by air via Saidpur. The university also provides academic support through seminars and online platforms for students from far-flung areas.
Many prominent educationists and distinguished personalities of the country are associated with this institution. Under the visionary leadership of the founder of the university, Dr. M. A. Hannan Firoz, it has become one of the leading private universities of the country today.
