United International University (UIU)

United International University (UIU) was established in 2003 under the Private Universities Act.

The university, which started its journey under the initiative of United Trust with the aim of improving the quality of higher education and creating skilled manpower, is currently located in its own large campus in Satarkul, Dhaka. This modern campus built on about 25 bighas of land is well known for its architectural style and environmentally friendly structure. In recent times, UIU has consolidated its position as one of the leading private universities in the country due to its academic excellence and consistent success in research. The institution has been achieving success in various international competitions, especially in the fields of information technology, engineering and business education. In terms of academic activities, UIU mainly emphasizes practical education. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in important subjects such as Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Business Administration (BBA and MBA), Economics and Civil Engineering. The current teaching method has been blended learning or a combination of online and offline, which helps students learn in sync with the times. The university's curriculum is regularly updated in line with the needs of world-class industries, so that students can prove themselves competent in the workplace immediately after graduation. Many talented people have contributed to the success of UIU, but one of the pioneers of this institution is the eminent educationist and national professor Dr. Jamilur Reza Chowdhury. During his tenure as the Vice-Chancellor of this university, he took its academic foundation and research standards to unique heights. His visionary leadership and practice of ethics are still reflected in the administrative and academic culture of the institution.
