The Bhatiari Lake area is primarily located within and around the restricted zones of the Bangladesh Military Academy. Built cutting through the hills, this lake is famous for its high green hills and calm waters. A large number of visitors come here every day to enjoy the surrounding hilly scenery and the beauty of the lake at sunset.
The main attraction here is the natural beauty scattered on both sides of the hilly roads and the clear water of the lake. However, since it is a restricted area of the Military Academy, public access is limited in some parts. Right next to the lake is the Bhatiari Golf Course and Bhatiari Market. Very close to this are the Bansbaria Sea Beach and various hill waterfalls of Sitakunda.
It is very easy to get here by road from Dhaka or Chattogram. From Chattogram city, one can reach Bhatiari Bazar in Sitakunda directly by bus, CNG-driven auto-rickshaw, or private car. From the market, one can go to the areas around the lake by rickshaw or on foot.
