
Bhetarbandh Zamindar Bari(Ancient architecture)
The 'Bhitarband Zamindar Bari', located in the Bhitarband Union of Nageshwari Upazila in Kurigram district, is a historic architectural landmark.
Locally, it is also known as the 'Bhitarband Rajbari'.
Once the focal point of the Bhitarband Pargana, it was famous for its vast size and intricate architecture.
Although most of the main structure is now in ruins, its remnants and the ancient trees spread across the vast area attract visitors as witnesses to history.
The distance from Kurigram district town is approximately 25-30 kilometers.
It can be easily reached by road from the district town via Nageshwari.
The history of an influential Zamindar family from the British era is intertwined with this estate.
Furthermore, this family had a significant influence on the cultural and political activities of the region.
Currently, it is known to the locals as a notable historical site.
