Bondober Union(Union)

Bandaber Union is an important administrative region of Rowmari Upazila in Kurigram district.

Geographically, as it is situated in the basin of the Brahmaputra River, the land here is extremely fertile and agriculture-based.

Its distance from Kurigram district town is approximately 60-65 kilometers, where both road and waterways are used for transportation.

Locally, this area is often known simply as 'Bandaber', though it has various local names depending on its different villages and neighborhoods.

Although there are no major tourist attractions in this union, the rural landscape and the natural scenery along the banks of the Brahmaputra River are very pleasant.

The administrative activities of the union are conducted from the Bandaber Union Parishad office.

There are several primary and secondary schools here for the promotion of education.

Historically, like other areas of Rowmari Upazila, this region is dependent on river erosion and an agriculture-based economy.

To reach here from the main town of Kurigram, one has to travel by road via Rowmari, which can be somewhat challenging during the monsoon season.
