ChandanaishChandanaish(Upazila)
Chandanaish Upazila is an administrative area under Chattogram District, located about thirty kilometers south of the district headquarters.
This upazila is known for its traditional Dohazari railway junction, the shrine of Kazem Ali Shah, and agricultural products, especially vegetables and fruits.

The flowing Sangu River runs through the heart of Chandanaish Upazila, playing an important role in the region's agriculture and communication system. The geographical environment here is riverine and parts of it are close to hilly areas.
There are several important bazaars and commercial centers in this upazila, among which Dohazari Bazaar and Gachbaria Bazaar are notable. In terms of communication, the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar highway passes through this upazila, and the Dohazari railway station and junction have enriched its rail communication. It can be easily accessed from Dhaka or Chattogram by road and rail.
To spread education in the area, there are Gachbaria Government College and several old and renowned educational institutions. Besides, there are various medical centers including the Upazila Health Complex and Dohazari Trauma Center for healthcare services.
