College More(Area under municipality)

The 'College Mor' area of Kurigram Sadar Upazila is known as the heart of the city, which has developed around Kurigram Government College.

Geographically, it is the busiest junction of the city, where educational and commercial activities converge.

Important educational institutions like Kurigram Government College and Government Women's College are located here, keeping the area vibrant.

Additionally, the presence of various banks, insurance companies, and shopping malls makes it a major commercial hub.

Recently, development of the traffic system and beautification work have been underway in this area.

On May 20, 2024, a special drive was conducted by the district administration to evict illegal structures and alleviate traffic congestion in the area adjacent to College Mor, led by Executive Magistrate Md.

Riazul Islam.

As a result of this drive, some order has been restored to the movement in the area.

Among the places of interest, the nearby banks of the Dharla River and the historic campus of Kurigram Government College are notable.
