Gor-e-Shahid Boro Math(Giant field)

'Gor-e-Shaheed Baro Math', located in Dinajpur Sadar Upazila, is known worldwide as one of the largest Eidgah grounds in South Asia.

Spanning approximately 22 acres, this historic field is situated on the outskirts of Dinajpur town and boasts stunning architectural beauty.

The massive Eidgah minaret with 52 domes, built on the western side of the field, is the main attraction of the site and is designed in the style of Mughal architecture.

The minaret is about 50 feet high and 516 feet long.

Every year, hundreds of thousands of devotees gather here for the Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha congregations, making it one of the largest Eid congregations in Bangladesh.

This historic field is not only a center for religious festivals but also one of the major tourist and cultural hubs of Dinajpur and North Bengal.

Nearby attractions include the Dinajpur Rajbari, Ramsagar National Park, and Kantajew Temple.

Regarding the naming of the field, it is popularly believed that there were many martyrs' graves here in the past, from which the name 'Gor-e-Shaheed' originated.

Currently, it is a favorite spot for locals for morning walks and sports.

Recently, the vastness of this field has been utilized to host various national-level fairs and cultural events, turning it into the main heart of the district town.
