Guliakhali Sea Beach is not just sandy like other conventional sea beaches, rather its vast coastline is covered with a soft carpet of grass. This unique contrast between the sea waters and the green grass right beside it makes it extraordinary. During the monsoon season, the surrounding green landscape becomes more vibrant and boat rides can be enjoyed on the canals.
Notable sights here include the green grassy meadows alongside the sea, the Keora forest, small interlacing canals, and the sunrise and sunset views. Before reaching the main beach, crossing over canals by troller or boat serves as one of the key attractions of the trip. Close to the beach are notable sights like the hilly region of Sitakunda and Chandranath Hill.
For transportation from Dhaka or any part of the country, one must first arrive at Sitakunda Bazar. From Sitakunda Bazar, visitors can take a CNG auto-rickshaw or local transport via Muradpur Union to reach the designated point of Guliakhali Sea Beach. It is also easily accessible by road from Chattogram city via Sitakunda.
