Ibrahimpur(City area)

Ibrahimpur is a densely populated and important residential area under the Dhaka North City Corporation, primarily located between Dhaka Cantonment and Mirpur.

Administratively, it is part of the Dhaka district.

Geographically, the area is quite flat, and the Baunia Khal flows alongside it, connecting the area to Mirpur DOHS and Kalshi.

Ibrahimpur is mainly known for being a residence for middle-class and upper-middle-class people, and numerous educational institutions, private offices, and commercial establishments have been developed here.

One of the main features of the area is its easy communication system and its proximity to the Cantonment area.

Notable establishments here include the BIMT (Bangladesh Institute of Marine Technology) and several reputable private schools and colleges.

Additionally, there is a high concentration of mosques and madrasas in the area.

Although Ibrahimpur is primarily known for its residential environment, the recent construction of the Kalshi flyover has brought a revolutionary change to the area's transportation system, making it one of the most important junctions in the capital.
