Kallyanpur(City area)

Kallyanpur is an important and densely populated residential area in the Mirpur area of Dhaka, which is administratively under the Dhaka North City Corporation.

Due to its proximity to the Gabtoli Bus Terminal and Technical intersection, the area is known as a gateway to the capital.

Geographically, it is situated at the junction of Mirpur Road and the Mirpur embankment, making it quite convenient for transportation.

The area is primarily composed of planned residential blocks, featuring various public and private housing projects and educational institutions.

Notable landmarks in the area include Kallyanpur Notun Bazar, which is the main hub for locals to procure daily necessities.

Additionally, the presence of the 'Kallyanpur Field,' one of the most popular playgrounds in North Dhaka, and various educational institutions have made the area vibrant.

Recently, the Kallyanpur area has been undergoing various infrastructural developments and modernization; however, traffic management at Gabtoli and the Technical intersection remains a major challenge in alleviating congestion.
