Karnaphuli Thana is a police station under the Chattogram City Corporation in Chattogram District, Bangladesh, located on the southern bank of the Karnaphuli River.
The Thana is primarily known for its industrial areas, port-related activities, and as the southern terminus of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Tunnel beneath the Karnaphuli River.

The Karnaphuli Thana area is situated on the southern bank of the Karnaphuli River and serves as an important commercial and industrial zone of Chattogram city. The Karnaphuli River flows through and alongside this area, separating it from the rest of Chattogram city.
Located within this Thana area is the long-awaited Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Tunnel built beneath the Karnaphuli River, which connects Chattogram city with Upazila Anwara and southern Chattogram. Additionally, several heavy industrial factories, dockyards, and various transport infrastructures connecting Patenga and Anwara have been established here.
Roadways and waterways are the main modes of transport to Karnaphuli Thana. It can be easily accessed from Chattogram city by road after crossing the Karnaphuli River or via the Shah Amanat Bridge. Furthermore, commuting to and from this area has become much easier since the opening of the Bangabandhu Tunnel.
