M. A. Aziz Stadium holds great significance in the sporting history of Bangladesh. At one time, it was the primary international cricket venue in Chattogram. Numerous historic cricket and football matches, including Test matches and One Day Internationals, have been held here. This stadium has played an immense role in the development of sports in Chattogram. It is named after the renowned organizer M. A. Aziz. Currently, it is mainly used as the primary center for domestic leagues, premier cricket, and local football tournaments.
Right beside this stadium is the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, and around M. A. Aziz Stadium are the Chattogram Circuit House and M. M. Ali Road. The stadium area is one of the busiest and most recognizable landmarks in Chattogram city.
One can easily travel to M. A. Aziz Stadium located at Kazir Dewri intersection from any part of Chattogram city by rickshaw, CNG-driven autorickshaw, or bus.
