Ramna Union(Union)
Ramna Union is an important administrative region of Chilmari Upazila in Kurigram district.
Although this union, situated along the banks of the Brahmaputra River, is geographically prone to river erosion, it is quite rich in natural beauty and an agriculture-based economy.
One of the main establishments of Ramna Union is the 'Ramna Model Union Land Office' and the historic 'Ramna Ghat', which was once a major hub for river communication.
Its distance from Kurigram district town is approximately 30-35 kilometers, and it can be reached by road via Chilmari using buses or CNG-run auto-rickshaws.
Notable tourist attractions in this union include the vast char areas along the banks of the Brahmaputra River and the Ramna Ghat area, where the sunset view is extremely pleasant.
Locally, this area is better known as 'Ramna Ghat'.
For the convenience of travel, there is a regular bus service from Kurigram to Chilmari.
Furthermore, although there is no specific information about the birth or permanent residence of any nationally famous person in this region, the simple lifestyle of the local people and the river-centric culture are attractive to tourists.
