Sonaichhari Union is an administrative area located in Sitakunda Upazila of Chattogram District, Bangladesh, situated about 10 kilometers south of the upazila headquarters along the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway.
This union is specially known for its natural beauty between hills and the sea, ship-breaking yards, and industrial factories.

The topography of Sonaichhari Union is quite diverse, with high hills on the eastern side and the coastline of the Bay of Bengal on the western side. In the coastal region of this area, one of the country's major heavy industries and many well-known ship-breaking yards have been established, playing an important role in the national economy. Besides, several streams originating from the hilly area flow through this region and fall into the sea.
The Dhaka-Chattogram Highway and the Dhaka-Chattogram railway line pass directly through this union, making the communication system highly developed. By road, it can be easily reached from Chattogram city or Sitakunda upazila headquarters by bus, minibus, or CNG-powered auto-rickshaw. Moreover, local or nearby railway stations can be used for traveling by rail.
