International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT)

International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT) is the first private university in Bangladesh established in 1991. Located in Uttara, Dhaka, this institution has a well-planned campus spread over about 5 acres of land. It was developed under the visionary leadership of its founder, Professor Dr. M. Alimullah Mian. The architecture and green environment of the campus have created an excellent learning environment for the students. Currently, the university believes in the philosophy of 'Knowledge-Based Area Development' and is conducting teaching by maintaining international standards. Here, modern and up-to-date curricula are followed in various subjects including engineering, agriculture, business administration, nursing and tourism. With emphasis on hands-on education, there is a system of laboratories and industrial attachments, which makes students skilled in the workplace. In terms of travel from Gazipur or Kurigram, it is easily accessible by road and air from any part of the country as it is located in Uttara, Dhaka. It is possible to travel to the campus from Kurigram by direct bus or air. The university's own transport system has also made the travel of students easier. Many of the country's renowned educationists and researchers are associated with this institution. In addition to the founder of the university, Dr. M. Alimullah Mian, eminent educationists and intellectuals of the country have been associated with teaching and research here at different times. Even today, the skilled and experienced teaching panel is working tirelessly to maintain the academic standards of the university.
