Prime University

Prime University was established in 2002 in Mirpur, Dhaka under the Private University Act. It is currently operating its own campus in Section 1 of Mirpur-1. The academic building of this university, established on about 2 bighas of land, is built in modern architectural style, which ensures a wonderful environment for the students. The university's library, laboratory and spacious auditorium are one of its most spectacular aspects. Currently, the university teaches in the semester system, where modern multimedia classrooms and experienced teaching staff ensure teaching. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in various subjects including Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, English and Law. The university regularly organizes industrial visits and seminars, emphasizing practical education. The distance from the main city of Kurigram to Prime University is about 350 kilometers. For students coming from distant districts, air (via Saidpur Airport) or AC/non-AC bus service by road is usually used. Due to its location in Dhaka city, students can easily travel to the campus using Mirpur Metro Rail and other public transport. Since its inception, many prominent educationists and intellectuals of the country have been associated with this university. The presence of the country's leading educationists and researchers in the university's Board of Trustees and Advisory Board plays an important role in maintaining the academic standards of the institution. In addition, at different times, nationally renowned personalities have inspired students here as guest speakers.
