Rangunia Municipality is an urban area located in Rangunia Upazila of Chattogram District, Bangladesh, established right at the upazila headquarters.
This municipality is known as the administrative and commercial center of Rangunia Upazila.

Rangunia Municipality is bordered by various unions of Rangunia Upazila on the north and east, the Karnaphuli River on the south, and other regions of Rangunia Upazila on the west. The Karnaphuli River flows past the southern side of this municipality, playing an important role in its communication and natural environment.
Several important marketplaces and commercial centers have developed within and around this municipality, through which local trade and commerce are conducted. Educational institutions such as Rangunia Government College and Rangunia Government High School are playing a role in spreading education here. Besides, the Upazila Health Complex is located in this area for local healthcare services.
Rangunia Municipality can be easily reached from Chattogram city by road via Kalurghat along the Kaptai road. Transportation to this municipality is available via buses, CNG-driven auto-rickshaws, and local vehicles.
