Lohagara Upazila is an administrative area in the Chattogram District of Bangladesh, located about 60 kilometers south of the Chattogram district headquarters.
This upazila is known for its historic Chunati Wildlife Sanctuary, the ancient Chunati Hakimia Kamil Madrasah, and various memories of the pre-independence era and the Liberation War.

Notable commercial centers and busy areas of Lohagara Upazila include Kalauzan Bazar, Bottali Motor Station, Adhunagar Bazar, and Amirabad Moor. The Chattogram-Cox's Bazar highway runs through the heart of this upazila, making its communication system very important.
Among the natural features of this area are the hilly regions on the eastern side along with hilly springs and streams. The Chunati Wildlife Sanctuary located here is one of the country's protected natural forests and a habitat for wild elephants and various wildlife.
From a historical and cultural perspective, Lohagara is home to the centurylong Chunati Hakimia Kamil Madrasah and the annual Seeratunnabi (PBUH) mahfil, which is famous across the subcontinent. This region also holds historical sites and memories associated with the anti-British movement and the Liberation War.
Prominent educational institutions here include Chunati Hakimia Kamil Madrasah, Adhunagar High School, Lohagara Government Pilot High School, and Kalauzan Dr. Khastagir High School. For healthcare, there is the Lohagara Upazila Health Complex.
Lohagara is easily accessible by bus, microbus, or private car from Dhaka or Chattogram via the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar highway. There is no railway connection or commercial waterway route in this upazila.
